I did that once. Although in my case I wanted them to total out the vehicle after a crash but they had already done it once that year when I had another car was stolen. Needless to say hidden damage reared it’s ugly head a few months later…the engine blew on the turnpike. It was only by the grace of God that I got to the side of the road without getting hit.
