Fela Ransome-Kuti

In addition to being a musician, Fela was a political activist and a Pan-Africanist. He was a champion of African culture and was inspired by Black Power. He travelled to Ghana, where he discovered new musical influences.

He wrote songs he intended to be political statements against the Nigerian government, and a global order that abused Africa regularly.
