Types of Asbestos

All six types of amorphous asbestos exist in nature as a bundle of thin, durable fibres. They are able to withstand heat, chemicals, fire and electrical conductivity. They have a high tensile strength and wear strength. Asbestos is used in a variety of products including floor tiles, insulation paint, as well as fabric that is heat-resistant.
