Federal Employers Liability Act

The Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA) provides a unique legal right to compensation for railroad workers who have been injured. Contrary to state workers' compensation laws which are governed by federal law, this federal law requires railroad workers who are injured to prove that their employers were negligent.
