Key Programming and Data Transfer

Key programming is the process used to make a brand new key work. This procedure is usually performed by a locksmith or an agent.

To program a key you must insert it into the ignition and turn it to the "On" position without starting the vehicle. This has to be performed a certain number of times over the shortest amount of period of time.
