Items and Upgrade Components in World of Warcraft

Upgrades to items can be an excellent way to increase the value of your weapon and armor. However upgrading common equipment isn't worth the cost as rare or unique equipment will outclass it quickly.

An item can be upgraded up to six times. Each upgrade adds points to the item's level gauge.
