Federal Employers Liability Act For Railroad Workers

Railroad workers have to deal with dangerous jobs, and therefore require protection. Congress adopted the Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA) in 1908. This law allows railroad workers who suffer injuries to sue their employers. This law also establishes standardized liability requirements across the industry.
