Renault key cards have seen a number of changes in terms of how they appear and what's inside. Some come with a small ignition key stored away in case buttons aren't working.

Renaults have unique keys that are put into the dash to unlock and start the car. Make sure the card is correctly inserted and activated by turning the ignition several times.
