Key Programming and Data Transfer

Key programming is the process used to make a brand new key work. The process is usually carried out by a locksmith, or the dealer.

To program a new key, place it into the ignition and switch the key to the "On" position without starting the car. This must be performed a certain number of times in short amount of period of time.
