Pragmatism and the Illegal

Pragmatism is both a descriptive and normative theory. As a descriptive theory, it affirms that the conventional image of jurisprudence is not reflect reality and that pragmatism in law offers a better alternative.

Particularly legal pragmatism eschews the notion that good decisions can be determined from some core principle or set of principles.
