Federal Employers Liability Act

The Federal Employers Liability Act (FELA) provides a unique legal right to compensation for railroad workers who are injured. Contrary to the state laws governing workers' compensation that are federally enforceable, this law requires railroad workers who are injured to prove that their employers were negligent.
