Federal Employers Liability Act For Railroad Workers

Railroad workers are in danger when they perform their jobs, so they need protection. Congress approved the Federal Employers Liability Act, or FELA, in 1908. The law allows railroad workers injured by injuries to sue their employers. The law also establishes uniform standards for liability across the industry.
