Before and/or during your appointment, a medical professional might request you to fill out ADHD screening instruments and rating scales. They will also talk to your family and acquaintances to gather additional information. They may want to rule out other conditions that could be similar to symptoms of ADHD like a thyroid problem or seizure disorder.
