Federal Employers Liability Act

The Federal Employers Liability (FELA) provides a special legal entitlement to compensation for railroad workers who are injured. Contrary to the state laws governing workers' compensation which are governed by federal law, this federal law requires railroad workers injured to show that their employers were negligent.
